Niagara Peninsula
The Niagara Peninsula is Ontario’s largest wine region and the easiest place to string together multiple cellar-door stops. Lake Ontario moderates temperature; the Niagara Escarpment creates benches and slopes that change ripening and wine style within short drives.
Prince Edward County
Prince Edward County sits on limestone-rich soils near Lake Ontario. Wineries are often intimate; Pinot Noir and Chardonnay lead the conversation, and visitors should book ahead in peak season.
Lake Erie North Shore & Pelee Island
Canada’s southern wine country offers warmer sites and a quieter touring pace than Niagara. Pelee Island adds a ferry-access day-trip dimension and a distinct Lake Erie story.
